Editorial and Outreach Guidelines

How our writers work and how we approach publishers

These guidelines govern the content we produce and the way we contact publishers. They apply to every writer, editor, and outreach specialist working on an Adult Link Building campaign, whether in-house or contracted.

Honest Outreach

We identify ourselves accurately when contacting a publisher. We state that a placement is being arranged on behalf of a client, we do not impersonate individuals or organisations, and we do not use fabricated personas, false credentials, or invented affiliations to secure a placement. Publishers always know what they are agreeing to.

Original Content Only

Every article is written for the specific publication it is pitched to. We do not spin, syndicate, or resell the same article to multiple sites. Content is not generated and published unreviewed; where drafting tools are used, a human writer researches, rewrites, fact-checks, and takes responsibility for the final text.

Reader-First Standards

Articles must be genuinely useful to the host site’s audience and must meet its tone, length, and formatting standards. Claims of fact are checked and, where appropriate, sourced. We do not publish medical, legal, or financial claims we cannot support, and we do not present opinion as established fact.

Respect for Editorial Control

The publisher has final say over what appears on its site. We accept edits, honour requests to change or remove a link, and do not attempt to insert additional links, tracking, or scripts beyond what was agreed.

Adult-Specific Sensitivity

Content produced for adult and adult-adjacent brands is written to be lawful, non-explicit where the host requires it, and respectful of the people it describes. We do not produce content that sexualises minors, that depicts or implies non-consensual activity, or that could reasonably be read as promoting either.

Client Review

Clients may review drafts on request before pitching. Clients cannot, however, require us to place content that breaches these guidelines or a publisher’s stated policies.

Last updated: 22 August 2026. Adult Link Building reviews these policies at least annually and on any material change to how we operate.

Related Policies

These guidelines apply to every placement made through our guest post service and niche edit service. The sites we are willing to publish on are governed by our publisher vetting standards, and the link types we refuse are in the link quality policy.
